i hope you had an awesome july 4th!
i've been away for a minute; i appologize.
july 4 in atlanta is nuts. nuts to the tune of 60,000 people running a 10k.
it is possible to stand in one spot and watch a sea of people go by for over two hours.
the days leading up to the peachtree road race were filled with work, family visiting, and a lack of boot camp.
boot camp will resume next week. until then, i suffer.
er, then, i suffer.
whatever.
i have managed to drag my sorry carcass out of bed to run (just not in the race!) at the ungodly hour i've become accoustomed to waking- a.k.a. 5:00 am.- for some short mileage (this is disasterous for my rockstart lifestyle, btw).
immediately, i noticed a few things.
first, i can't breathe in this humidity/ heat for anything.
also? i'd like more red blood cells, please.
second, i'm recovering faster. seriously. (?!)
third, if i plan on keeping this up, i need more sleep.
much more sleep.
Will run again tomorrow and report back.
